Preserving Human Rights
In 2007 this project is taking on critical importance. For me it has always been about freedom. I knew this even when I was very young but I did not understand why this issue seemed so important to me. Over the years I have not lost interest the issue of freedom and insights have continued to accumulate. We have often been told that America is fighting for freedom and democracy. Individual Liberty (freedom) is one of our basic human rights. Representative Government (democracy = government of, by and for the people) is the means to protect human rights in society. The formula was clearly presented in the Declaration of Independence. "That among these rights are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. That to secure these rights, governments are instituted among men, deriving their just power from the consent of the governed". My explanation is both simple and convoluted at the same time. It is convoluted because there are many issues involved. It is simple because all of the issues are interrelated. I have created a table to compare the two basic ways of thinking. I have devoted my first book to explaining how this basic dichotomy developed in society. Since I developed this insight while studying alternative medical theories; the book has the title; "Why Alternative Medicine and Why Now?". Duality (the materialistic view) and Non-Duality (the holistic view) was probably the first important question that we as a society were challenged to answer. Society developed along a materialistic model. Over the centuries, the holistic viewpoint has been forgotten. The materialistic view has led us to material progress but it has left a void which has resulted in an imbalanced and sick society. The reason is simple. The materialistic view is based on the idea that "Might makes Right". In this approach there is a tendency to centralize power and enhance compliance by enforcing a materialistic Social Dogma. In this model there are No Human Rights. Everyone must be subservient to the central authority. Occasionally, there is an effort to restore the holistic viewpoint of Non-Duality. It is often seen as a spiritual insight because it is based on the idea that humans have intrinsic rights. The u.s. Constitution was the first time that a government was designed to protect human rights. There is a trick. Even though our rights are unalienable, they must be protected from people who do not believe that people have any intrinsic rights. In government, this is done primarily through systems of checks and balances. This concept must be maintained at all levels. In order to preserve a system of checks and balances, we must not only protect individual rights but we must also protect state rights and national rights to self determination. (more) Two Forms of Government There are basically only two forms of government. Empire: The British Empire is alive and well. In fact, America never won the Revolution started in 1776. Since no war ever ends, this war is still ongoing; and America is losing. Basically, I include any government with a goal of central control (totalitarian or dictatorships would be examples). Globalism is a policy of promoting a global empire. Globalism is by it's very nature, anti-American activity. Representative Government: Some call this democracy or government of, by and for the people. This form of government is instituted among men to protect human rights. It bases it's just power on the consent of the governed. (more) Restoring Holistic Government Since the Materialistic approach to government is central control of everything; the holistic approach would require the decentralization of things. Since our attempt to form a government to protect human rights has been undermined through secrecy and deception, the antidote would be to declassify secrets and expose deceptive practices. A second process is necessary. Since the method of empire is to centralize control; our efforts now should be to decentralize everything. Declassify Government Secrets: Media Reform: to explore alternative theories of history. Decentralize Everything: Decentralize the economy; decentralize the cities; decentralize the government. Restructure the Economy: The American taxpayer should not be liable for fraudulent debt. Accountability of Leaders: There are many who knowingly used the American government deceptively.
